spring continues

The weather is just getting better and better each day. Today it was warm in the light winds and brilliant sunshine and the birds were chasing each other through the trees and bushes.

I’ve had messages on my work blog from people who have spotted a cuckoo in Salisbury, Wiltshire on 26th January and one in West Sussex on 7th February. Wonder when the first cuckoo will reach Skye. The sky is starting to show signs of an approaching end to the good weather, with high cirrus coming in tonight. The mountain forecast is predicting low cloud up the west coast at the weekend with no sign of winter returning to the hills in the near future. Is this really the end of the winter for this year?
