keep warm with a dust mask

I suppose I shouldn’t be too surprised by the article in TGO about dust masks as heat exchanger systems for lightweight camping, as investigated by Eddy Meechan. I’ve been using a Buffalo sleeping bag for about two decades, the same one I might add and in winter, when I zip the hood right up, my entire head is enclosed in the bag and I can keep quite warm that way. In the article Eddy uses a DIY dust mask to do the same thing. I’m planning an overnight into the wilds to the west of Glen Affric so I’ll pick up a dust mask and take it along, see if it does make a difference.
