storms aplenty

The old adage, “When America sneezes, the world catches a cold” seems to hold true at the moment, with all the financial crises happening, such as banks going bust and people queuing in the street to get their money out and I thought it was interesting to note the approach of the storm in the blogs. It started with a note from Blogpackinglight about the coming storm and then another by the same bod. I like diverse blogs like this one, especially where the author is knowledgeable in areas I know nothing about! Then Northern Rock went bust, hotly followed by Bear Stearns and now the ‘states side blogs are starting to comment on the situation over there. Mark Alvarez is worried about getting over for the TGO Challenge, while even Physics blogs are commenting on the crisis too, with Cocktail Party Physics discussing Econophysics.

What to do? I’m off to the bank to empty it of coppers and invest in a huge bag of popcorn and settle down to watch the end of the world:
