stove wars

Do my eyes deceive me? Is there a stove war in full swing? There is indeed! Some halfwit on the BPL forum apparently has claimed the Honey stove is a Bushbuddy rip-off. I say apparently as despite being a member it says I don’t have rights to read it. Either the forum software is written by an idiot and is broken or it’s so inflammatory it’s been pulled but not deleted.
I can pretty much say it’s not a rip-off as I think the Bushbuddy is crap. It’s a complete waste of time where I live, near the rockiest part of the UK, so unless it’s become a rock burning stove, it’s crap, as far as I’m concerned. But the Honey burns sticks too, horror of horrors but is far more versatile than that small metal brazier. If I’m thinking of getting a Honey, it’s a sure sign that it’s got real value and is far more useful than a Bushbuddy.
Did Henry Ford file suits against every car manufacturer on the planet? Shock horror, it’s got wheels and seats! It’s a rip-off!
Although it’s bad form to be flaming someone with apparent lies, what makes my blood boil is the apparent willingness of one Ryan Jordan, the “owner” of BPL, to defend the bile. So he’s apparently “squared” everything up with Bob@Backpackinglight has he? So where’s the proof? Where’s the statement on the website? I’m a paid up member of BPL and I want to know why my money is being used to fund an apparently libelous forum from which apparently libelous comments are not deleted, just “chaffed”.
I’m off to print out my BPL subscription, fill up the Honey with sticks and burn it!
